The visa on arrival to get into Paraguay for Americans is a whopping $160, but it was worth it and I had a great day exploring Asunción thanks to my Insta friend @nikososam who picked me up at the airport and drove me all over his city. The coolest part about my job is meeting people via social media!! Asuncion has literally NO tourists, which is somewhat refreshing and authentic.
